What about those who have experienced sexual abuse? Is there hope? Plug in for stories of youth who face these challenges, and hear the latest research, help and hope to keep sex and relationships on the rails.
Mary Jo is 47 years old. She is a doctoral fellow for forensic medicine at Oslo University Hospital. She is also a Forensic Pediatric Nurse Practitioner; she has examined thousands of children who have concerns for abuse and/or neglect. Forensic Pediatrics is where Medicine and Law intersect. She works with law enforcement, social services and medicine to try to protect children and youth from violence or otherwise traumatic adverse childhood experiences.
Since childhood, she has been unable to handle anything to do with violence (books, films, tv shows, etc) but regardless she has worked with violence and victims of violence her entire adult life. She loves animals, has had pet sheep, goats, ducks, rodents and even a snake.
