About AYC
Adventist youth throughout Europe will once again have the opportunity to meet in Lahti, Finland for the European Adventist Youth Congress (AYC22) from 2 to 6 August, 2022.
Youth congresses have a long history in our European territory. The first youth congress took place in Chemnitz, Germany in 1928.
Since then, times have changed, realities have changed, but one thing remains the same: the spirit of joy and community we experience when we come together as a family.
AYC is the perfect place to connect with other young Christians, to share and celebrate our faith together, to be strengthened and motivated in our personal spiritual journey, to be challenged to make a real impact in our communities and surroundings.
For 2022, we are putting a lot of love and care, with the help of our God, into creating a life-changing experience for you at AYC22. We hope and pray that:
- you feel at home, and you have such a great time that you share your experience with others.
- you feel we listen to you and empower you.
- you have the freedom to shape the congress of your dreams with the different options we offer for you.
- you are inspired, motivated and challenged to get involved in your local church, to make a significant difference in your world.
If you are still wondering if AYC22 is going to be worth it, here are some testimonials from our last congress in Valencia, Spain (2017).
About Finland
AYC22 does not only offer us the opportunity to gather together with other Christians, but it also allows us to discover new countries and cultures. AYC22 is also a great time to explore Finland.
You probably already think of Finland as a country of
nature and wilderness, of winter and snow, of
quietness, honesty and straightforwardness.
But did you know the following facts about Finland?
