The European Adventist Youth Congress (AYC) is a success thanks to the more than 100 volunteers who selflessly give of their time and gifts to serve others. They are the quiet helpers working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.
If you want to experience a different side of the congress and you are at least 18 years old, you can sign up to be a volunteer.
Reference: You will need to provide us with the name & e-mail/mobile number of your local pastor or conference Youth Director. We will contact them for a reference before you are chosen to serve.
Registration deadline: 20 May 2022 17 June 2022
After we receive all of the applications we will go through a process of selection and you will be informed by e-mail whether or not you have been chosen as a volunteer for our event. You should expect to hear from us no later than 1 June 2022.
FAQs
How do I apply to be a volunteer?
If you are interested in serving this congress with your skills as a volunteer, you must fill in the volunteer application form by 17 April 2022. You will be asked to provide references and a recommendation letter from your local church pastor.
Are there any age restrictions to become a volunteer?
You must be at least 18 years old to be a volunteer.
What language skills do I need to become a volunteer?
As a volunteer, you must speak English fluently. It is desirable that you also speak other languages such as: Spanish, French, German, Italian, etc, but not essential.
Do I have to pay something to be a volunteer?
You do not have to pay anything towards the congress itself. We will cover your accommodation and meals costs. You will have to cover the cost of your travel.
What costs do I have to cover by myself?
You are responsible for your own travel to/from Congress and travel/health insurance (where applicable).
What kind of accommodation will I have?
You will be accommodated in a local hotel (details to follow).
Is the food provided?
Yes, all meals will be provided for you during the time that you serve.
The first meal that will be provided for volunteers is breakfast on Saturday, 30 July 2022. The last meal is lunch on Sunday, 7 August 2022 (if applicable).
Is it possible to volunteer only part of the time?
