Will there be translation at AYC22?
The plenary sessions will be in English, but translation will be offered into the following languages: Bulgarian, Czech, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish.
For workshops, you will need to contact your Union youth director to find out what workshops, if any, will be translated into your language.
What are the registration options for AYC22?
We offer three registration options for AYC22:
- Option A: Includes the congress fee, meals and accommodation in schools. For this option, you need to bring your own floor mat and sleeping bag.
- Option B: Includes the congress fee and meals.
- Option C: Day pass. This option enables you to attend the congress for one day, WITHOUT any meals and WITHOUT accommodation.

What meals are included in registration options A and B?
The registration options with meals work as follows:
The first meal included is breakfast on Wednesday, 3 August. The last meal is dinner on Saturday, 6 August.
All meals are vegetarian.
What do I need to bring for accommodation in schools?
The registration package with accommodation includes sleeping in schools.
This means you will need to bring:
- Sleeping bag (for congress option A) or bed sheets
- Sleeping mat
- Pillow (optional)
- Lantern
- Towel and personal hygiene items (shampoo, soap, etc.)
What do I do with my valuables?
We won’t have a specific place for participants to keep their valuables. So we recommend you take essentials with you: purse with money, passport, and phone, and take these with you at all times. As a congress participant, you are responsible for your belongings.
Do I need to be vaccinated to come to the congress?
The short answer is no.
We will, however, ask that you fulfill all the requirements the Finnish government sets for those entering the country.
So, the final answer to this question will depend on the COVID restrictions Finland has in place at the time of the congress. We must respect those at all times.

As we get closer to the congress, our medical team will provide some additional information regarding COVID measures during the congress. We want to make sure we are all safe.
I would like to get baptised at the congress. What do I need to do?
Sabbath morning will be very special because we plan to have a baptism ceremony.
